Hampton Sprint Triathlon
I raced in the TriAmerica Sprint Triathlon in my hometown of Hampton, VA. The race took place at Buckroe Beach Park. Here are my official race times:
SWIM :17:39
SWIM TO BIKE TRANSITION :4:02
BIKE :45:16
BIKE TO RUN TRANSITION :1:43
RUN :34:24
FINISH 1:43:03

I felt pretty good throughout the whole race. The swim was hard because of the jellyfish, but I did not have trouble navigating the buoys. The ride was easy compared to Cville (no hills, shorter). I even passed a few people, and no flat tires. The cops did a good job directing car traffic, and the volunteers did a good job with directing us. My platypus water backpack was a good choice. The run was hard because it was so hot and I walked some. Overall, it was a fun event for me. My first (successful) race.
What do you think of my new trisuit?
